I began my writing journey at a young age. At first, reading was not considered a fun activity. It wasn't until years later, with the help of my father and a school librarian, that I was shown the more positive side of it all. Soon, I began to explore the options falling before me as I grew into my passion.

In the 8th grade, I was introduced to the world of Creative Writing and began to delve into what it meant to make a novel. How to create a new world for others. I began with short stories and poems, working my way up to my first big project. My first novel: Broken Angel. A story about an entire group of kids. Eight teens and their desperate escape from their evil principal.

Broken Angel followed me to high school where I made my first major edit-changing the antagonist's name! Leading into my college years and beyond, following me on my move to Colorado.

Living in Colorado allowed me to be provided an offer for a scholarship but not just any scholarship... an Aspiring Author's Scholarship programmed by The Colorado Authors Hall of Fame!

The excited, constant email searching began. Looking for the results of the scholarship finally ended in August with an in person notification, email invitation, and phone call! On September 16th, 2022 I attended a luncheon where I was announced as one of the winners! I was given the honor of having the opportunity to work with a team of mentors and truly beginning my journey to become a published author!
